
Appetizer & Snack Hints
Grill, broil or bake small cubes of marinated tofu or tempeh and serve with toothpicks. Use your own marinades, or try the ones in the Main Dish section of this book. The Roasted Tempeh Bits are delicious!
Use puréed silken tofu as a base for dips. It can replace at least half (and sometimes all) of the sour cream, mayonnaise or yogurt.
Honey Nuggets are good to munch on out of hand, as are Smokey Bits. They can also be mixed with pretzels, cold cereals or popcorn.
Use some of the spreads and fillings found in the Sandwich section for appetizers or snacks.
Eat fresh green soybeans from the pod!
