Lincoln, NebraskaWhat food service professionals and consumers want to know--and need to know--about soy and grain foods has been the focus of Sharon Davis' career as a family and consumers sciences educator. Through a career as a home visitation professional, extension educator, test kitchen and consumer information director, Davis enjoys sharing how consumers can enjoy all foods, and more of some, while reducing fat in their diets.
Davis holds a B.S. in family and consumer sciences education from Iowa State University and a masters in process from Kansas State University. She speaks across the country for professional and educational meetings of child and adult food service professionals, family and consumer sciences teachers and extension educators. Her articles appear frequently in the ASFAS's School Food Service & Nutrition magazine. Her presentations for soy and grain foods in meal planning have included 20 states, 5 regions and five national conferences.
Davis is an enthusiastic member of the American School Food Service Association, International Association of Culinary Professionals, Society for Nutrition Education and the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences business section.
Her life revolves around husband Greg and her two children, Katy, 4 and Christopher, 3.
