 Dairy Producers are especially invited to attend the Indiana Milk Quality Conference in Fort Wayne at Don Hall's Guesthouse on April 15-16. The meeting includes a producer panel featuring Nathan Kuehnert, John Metzger and John and Cynthia Adam. Also, Ryan Rogers from Homestead Dairy will talk about setting up a digester. You are invited to a full day of dairy at Fair Oaks Farms on Tuesday, March 25th! IDP has worked with Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania (PDMP) and Fair Oaks to put quite an interesting agenda together. The day will begin with registration at 9 AM Central Time. The plans for the day include doing the Fair Oaks Dairy Adventure, Pig Adventure, a meeting with Mike McCloskey and lunch. We will travel to Hidden View Dairy, a farm featuring tunnel ventilation, a 72 cow rotary, and a “hybrid” methane digester as well as a tour to Seven Hills Dairy. We plan to meet back at the Café for a catered dinner featuring Kevin Jones from Ghost Hollow Consulting speaking on the six elements to dairy profitability the top 1% use. It will be a full day with great opportunities to mix with fellow producers and industry folks from PA and IN. The cost for the day will be $50 per person from IDP member farms and businesses, and payment can be made upon arrival.
